Frustrated

I'm surprised at the lack of information on Wikipedia about the Joe Gage trilogy.

One thing I did find out is that they re-mastered the trilogy for DVD release. I'm going to have to track that down, or find H264 versions of that, rather than the VHS versions I have.

So what are your thoughts on the Joe Gage trilogy? Great trilogy, or greatest trilogy?

Those are DVDs, yes? Those *may* be the re-mastered versions with all the "lost" scenes. Do you know the running time, and when they were produced? They should have a 2006 (maybe a 2005) copyright date on them.

According to TLA's site, they're selling the HIS Video DVD's - not a restored/remastered version that I can see.

Aah. Yeah, that's the problem... Content creators should also be the distributors, especially in this age. I can never tell if a company is the production company or merely the distributor.

The website listed on the dvd's is wwww.vcavd.com

There isn't a running time on Kansas City Trucking

El Paso lists 90 minutes run time

LA Tool lists 88 mins

(yes these are on DVD/DVD ROM HYBRID

Aha! Those are the listed running times, but are those the *actual* running times?

From [livejournal.com profile] greasybiker's comment, it seems that the listed running time isn't equal to the actual running time.

Curiouser and curiouser.

The comment about cover art not agreeing with content makes that probably true.

El Paso Wrecking Corp has about three images that are missing from the actual dvd. The handsome, sexy furry real world doctor isn't present at all on the dvd.

Probably like much of Al Parker's stuff divided up and lesser than the original whole.

Sadly, since I don't have VHS, I can't watch my copy of Turned On or Gold Rush Boys!

Ah, Gold Rush Boys has a very *very* good scenes. I'd like to see a good DVD of that as well.
