I'm going to record in Soundtrack Pro, as it doesn't shit the bed with long-form recording (anything over 20 minutes, and GB starts getting waaaay instable). Or, if for some reason I can't get enough live recording tracks in STP, I'll go with Cubase.
The more research I did, the more I think I will go with something like an Alesis io|14. It can send 24/192 audio in each channel, and it's got 4 XLR/analogue ins. I can always use my Snowball as a 5th mic, should I need it (I'll be using 8-Balls for the analogue mics). The io|14 is also pretty inexpensive, all things considered.
