Long Day

This morning, I woke up less rested than II should have been. I went to bed last night at about 2am, and my body hasn't quite adjusted to the time change. It always takes me a few days. I hop into the shower, get out, put on my Triumph T-shirt, jeans, and Docs, get something to eat, then leave for the train.

Upon entering the office, I see Angela, one of the project managers (and generally wonderful person), is back from her trip to Costa Rica. She asks me about the meeting we have with Time today. I told her I thought it was tomorrow. I was wrong, and I found myself rather under-dressed for a client meeting. Oops. There was really nothing that could be done about it, I didn't have a better shirt, and it was a bit late to get one. I love the fact that my employer is very relaxed about most things, which is why I get very upset when I don't hold up my end of the bargain. Luckily, instead of getting angry, Chris (my boss) said "hey, I've done it plenty of times". This was comforting, but I was still upset with myself. Mental note: check the agenda before leaving the house.

The meeting itself went well, although I've *got* to learn to shut the hell up sometimes. Yes, people thought my ideas were good, but I kept cutting off the client. Not good. In some areas, I have infinite patience, in others, I want to give them the "hurry up" signal. Returning from the meeting, I had a much better direction for the task at hand, and I know I can "make it work".

I was supposed to have dinner with my friend Andrew, but his mobile phone doesn't get good reception in his office. He flaked, and I finally caught up with him when he was on the train back to Brooklyn. Grrr! So I had dinner alone, then took the 6 back to GCT. I was lucky enough to take a semi-express to Greenwich, allowing me to go to Whole Foods, and home before going to the gym.

I finally hit the gym at 10pm. It was a chest day, but my body was having none of it. I did all the exercises, but at a much lower weight than normal, and fewer reps. I think it was a lack of fuel.

Now, it's 1:46am, and I am finally going to bed.

Sleep well.
