Hot hot heat
May. 3rd, 2006 10:24 amSo I've been swamped at work. So much to do, and I fear the only time I'll be able to catch up with it is to work over the week-end. Ick. I promised myself I wouldn't do this, but here I am, doing it.
There is a guest for the next couple of days in the house, and so I have been leaving work early in order to have some face-time with Peter (friend of Bill), a British islander who has been living in Brazil for the last jillion years. This evening, I am expected to cook. I haven't the foggiest notion of what to make, and to be honest, I am not really feeling up to cooking.
Last night's train ride home was a sauna, sans naked guys. It seems *none* of the cars had any circulating air, and as such, temps were well above the mid-80s. The train was a semi-express, which meant that I got home sooner than anticipated, but that also meant that the doors didn't open until my stop, creating a rather suffocating atmosphere.
In other news, there is a car show this week-end in Greenwich, forcing me to make sure my car is out of the commuter parking lot by midnight, friday night. This means I won't be hanging out in NYC friday evening. ::sigh:: Of course, I do have the option of an early dinner, then a quick ride back home, but I'd prefer to take my time.
I also have some pics of Jay and Paco's going away party. I'll post those sometime tonight. I had to set the ISO to 1600!! Surprisingly, they're not as insanely noisy as I expected them to be. They still contain a lot of noise, but it could be much, much worse.
I need to take more pictures. I haven't been photographing for weeks prior to that event.
