My new iPod arrived a day early!

For those following along at home, I am not a fan of the video iPods. I find they are a bit too wide for my tastes, and using it requires the use of the backlight, killing battery life. I also didn't want a nano, as I needed more storage space.

I went looking locally to see if there were any old 5th generation (clickwheel) iPods, but without success. Then I remembered that http://smalldog.com has a pretty big supply of old stuff, new and used. I gave them a shot, and sure enough, they had about 200 new, unopened 20GB 5th gen clickwheel iPods. I popped it into my cart, and I was done. While it arrived a day early, I didn't notice it until I was leaving for work this morning, so I didn't have a chance to load it up with music from home, only what was available on my laptop. At least that gave me some Great Big Sea, Amos Lee, Prince, NIN, Carlos Lyra, and Beth Orton to listen to on the way home tonight.

Over the next few days, I'll be working extra late, trying to get everything done prior to my trip. If anyone would like to do dinner, I am game!

Also, [livejournal.com profile] cpratt is coming to town, with his very handsome partner for a bit of rugby action. They're pretty busy, but hopefully they'll have some free time.

Shall we show them a good time?
