Monday Morning Commute
Aug. 7th, 2006 11:38 amSt. Eitenne's "Fairfax High" album (both discs) is the perfect train companion on a grey Monday morning commute. Starting off with "Hill Street Connection" followed by "Hit the Brakes", it reminds me of living in Cambridge (MA) not so many years ago, waiting for the T.
I spent the commute listening to said album, and reading the Weekly. They ran a story on the Lieberman/ Lemont race. I'm registered IND, so I don't think I can vote in the primary, but it seems Ned is in the lead. a good thing, as to quote Prince: "Dear Mister Man, we tired a' yall!"
I'm also very glad the republicans can't vote in the democratic primary, otherwise, Lemont wouldn't stand a chance. The conservatives know they have a friend in Joe, so they'd do anything to keep him there.
House update: Every issue of Dwell gets my floorplan closer to reality. Of course, if I didn't just drop 32K on a new car, I'd have a down payment on land and construction. Priorities however, are a tricky thing. I need a new car, more than I need a new house.
