Wow! What a day!

I'm about to hit the bed, so this will be quick.

Went into manhattan to have brunch with [livejournal.com profile] bearfuz, and special guest [livejournal.com profile] vernnyc. After brunch, Chip had to go to work for a bit, and Vern and I went to the Apple Store. Ooooh shiny glass cube! It was good to hang w/ Vern since its been *forever* since we've been able to hang out. While at the AS, I forgot I had my old iPod in my bag, and got it replaced under warranty. It seemed to be "Hot Bear Genius Day" at the AS. One had a passing resemblance to [livejournal.com profile] animbear, while the other one I've dubbed "Viking Bear". A powerful looking fellow who is probably taller than I am, and easily 50lbs heavier, straight off the rugby pitch. He was wearing the Apple Genius shirt, and short rugby shorts, and what *didn't* look like underwear. Legs that made mine look like twigs. DAYUM!

Then we went to meet up with [livejournal.com profile] pagerbear and the very handsome [livejournal.com profile] boobooirl, visiting from Germany. We all went down to 19th and Park Ave. South for dinner (minus Vern) at City Crab & Seafood Co. Fantastic crab cakes. Lump crab, and almost no filler. I need to go back. After dinner, we decided to walk to Ty's, meeting up with [livejournal.com profile] perlcub and [livejournal.com profile] placeintheheart, only to find it so crowded, we needed to queue to get in. "Screw this, let's go next door to The Factory". And we did. It was getting late, so shortly before 10pm, we departed on our various trains. I escorted Scott as far as Union Sq. station, and he walked back to his hotel, and I took the train. Lucky for me, as the trains are at :40 after the hour. I made the 10:40, and got home at 11:40.

Sleep now.

Thanks everyone!

So, I am probably late to the party, but I just found (or perhaps re-found) xkcd

The prior post was originally from them, but I saw it on 37S. This comic is for [livejournal.com profile] naylandblake and [livejournal.com profile] chrisglass:

Ok, so work has been in fits and starts today. I came across this. It's a must read for anyone interested in the Nintendo Wii, and the philosophy behind its creation.

The more I read about the Wii, the more excited I become.
