Pride, Bite-Sized
Jun. 15th, 2008 11:05 amI went into Brooklyn last night to meet up with
jazzbearny, along with
rogueboi, and
dragbear, and some other of Cliff's friends to watch what has to be the smallest Pride Parade *ever*. I believe it's about 3 blocks long. We had dinner in an Austrian restaurant very close to the end of the route, and we could actually see the beginning of the route if we craned, and looked out the window.
It was also pouring down rain, so much so, I considered building an ark. The rain fell so hard, water was actually coming through the umbrella, which was so kindly provided by Cliff. I was not the happiest of campers. Dealing with the public transit system in a borough on a week-end is often impossible, so shortly after the dinner and parade, I made my way home in the monsoon. Luckily, Greenwich was slightly drier, with the rain not quite hitting monsoon levels.
By the time I got home, Bill was already asleep, so I went upstairs to read my emails, chat with some folk, then I too, hit the bed.
Today is more gym, and figuring out what I will make for dinner, as Bill's leaving (yet again) for South Africa for 2 weeks.
