Suit Update: Recon Day 1

I woke up a tad late to go into the city to meet![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
danbearnyc and see the Avedon exhibit at the ICP, so instead of going into NYC, I did my first suit scouting at the Westchester Mall. First stop was Nordstrom, where they didn't have anything that even remotely excited me. Then I hit Hugo Boss, and found a few things I liked, including a *lovely* shirt that I may have made for me. I asked if they did custom garments in that location, and they said no, and that I'd have to go to the one in Manhattan for that. I also hit Neiman Marcus, which had a far better selection than Nordstrom, and had a gigantic section devoted to their MTM lines (Hickey Freeman, Zegna, Isaia, Armani). I also talked for a few minutes with the fellow there who was able to answer some of my questions.
Tomorrow, I'll head into NYC to visit the HB flagship store, as well as the RL flagship store.
If anyone is interested in having dinner or somesuch tomorrow, let me know!

They have spray painted over the Apple
Sep. 19th, 2009 05:31 pmA bit of progress on the 06831 Apple store. After the story broke, all the boxes now have green spraypaint over the word "Apple". Um, cat's outta the bag, guys.
