Crazy Canon News!
Oct. 20th, 2009 01:24 amWell, the 1DmkIV has been announced. 16.1MPixels, 10fps, 120 frame burst. 1080 HD video at 24p/25p/30p (in their real broadcast rates) 45 AF points, 39 of which are Cross-type. Sadly, it's a 1.3x cropped sensor, larger than the 7D (1.6), smaller than the 5D, and 1Ds (both full 35mm frame).
But the big news is the 5DmkII firmware update that will give us the same 24/25p, so there is no need to do icky inverse telecine conversions, and gives us that lovely motion blur.
It's an exciting time to be a content creator.
Go forth, and shoot stuff!
