Holy Crap! I Started a Video Series
Jan. 13th, 2010 12:16 pmI just started pre/production on a cool video concept. The idea is pretty simple. I'm interviewing designers, information architects, and other creative professionals and asking them 1 question. The question will be different from person to person. Each "show" will be about a minute long.
I'm experimenting with the questions at the moment. I want to figure out the difference between letting the interview subjects know the question in advance, and surprising them. It's a balance of "complete, thoughtful answer", and "true to heart spontaneity". I suppose a hybrid could be created "The question subject will be on (X)"
For the technically minded, the video will be shot on a 5DmkII, and will be available in HD, as well as iPod/iPhone format. Sound is provided through Shure mics fed into my Zoom H4 field recorder and joined in post-production.
I'm really excited. I should have the tests finished in about 2 weeks (much 'real' work on my plate at the moment, and I'm shooting in my office in NYC).
