I am writing this as I am hurtling toward Connecticut in the back of a Mercedes E-class, driven by my driver, Luigi. I haven't seen him in awhile, so it's nice to catch up. Other folks have subbed for him the last several times I've needed a lift to the airport.

In short, I had a lovely time in SF, with my only regret that it was a wee too short. I lost a day due to actions I'll describe later. It was totally worth it, even though it meant not getting to see some folk who are dear to me, and not meeting some folk whom I have not yet met.

I flew to SFO on Thursday morning, checked into a lovely suite at the Kimpton Palomar. The handsome bearded kid was all smiles and eyelashes as he checked me in, and made sure I had everything I required. We like him… a lot! I don't sleep on planes, so I took what was meant to be a short nap, which turned into a 4 hour one. Later that evening, I met up with Tom and Morgan, as they were arriving back home from the east coast as well. Tom was feeling poorly, so he bowed out of dinner, and Morgan and I headed to Thirsty Bear. We had a lovely chat, and a great meal (and beer!), however I was falling asleep yet again, and I went back to the hotel.

Friday was a different story, but I'll save that for my next post, as Luigi is pulling into West Lyon Farm now.

Good night, kittens!
