Sunday Night's Alright for Podcasting
Jan. 16th, 2012 01:14 am(with apologies to Bernie Taupin and Elton John)
Just wrapped up Episode 6: Unconventional Conventionalists, where we talk about CES and the coolness therein.
Also recently I got an invite to appear on Kanen Flower's show Scruffy Thinking. He's been listening to our show (he has had Maggie on several times, and they go way back), and quite likes it! We're trying to figure out how to get him on without it being too much of a mess. I've mentioned before that we double-end our show (we record our halves locally, *and* the skype call as a scratch track, then manually merge the two high-quality local tracks to get a better sound), and with a third party, that becomes more difficult, especially if they don't know how to do it (Kanen does, but I can't ask guests to go through all the crap).
I think this is our best show yet. The sound quality was good (unlike episode 3 Grr!), and while we covered A LOT of ground, the engagement was there, and it was a good dynamic. It felt like neither of us was waiting to speak, nor did we lose our arguments mid-sentence.
I like getting better at stuff =)
