So I haven't posted since well before the new year. Mostly, I've been busy with work. Unfortunately, I can't go into detail, as I'm NDA'd all over the place. I can say that I am pretty excited about the project, although there is more to it that I am unwilling to reveal in a public post.

Things have been pretty good. There is still an imbalance in my 3-legged stool of happiness (home/self, friends, work) I fear that over the years in trying to keep these things in balance, I've planed the legs down to nubs. I do have a lot to be happy about. I'm still in constant awe that my friends are so talented, and good. In that regard, I am a very fortunate fellow.

My show http://ruiningitforeveryone.tv is still going (and I'll be recording another episode this week-end, if all goes well). In fact, we now have sponsors, which have allowed us to hire an editor. This allows Maggie and me to focus on the content of the show, and not live in dread of taking 40+ hours to make a final edit. The sponsors are pretty big, as well. The prior 4 months we had Adobe, and now we've got Red Giant Software. That's exciting to me, as I love their stuff, and it was a blast having Seth and Aharon as our first guests in episode 7. As a rule, we only allow companies to sponsor us if we already like and use their stuff, so when we talk about it on the show, it's not because they are sponsors, it's because we really do like and recommend it. We also reserve the rights to trash something if it sucks. Some have dubbed that being 'care mad' — you're angry and upset because something you care about could be better, and you want it to be better. I hadn't heard that phrase until recently, but it's quite apt.

Despite all this work, I did have some time to go on holiday to SEA and SFO. It was most enjoyable, although despite bringing a craptonne of production gear, I almost never bothered taking a picture, video, nor audio recording. I was content to simply relax and be in the moment. I think I needed that more than I thought. It was also a bit amusing. I got the dates wrong in my head, and consequently, I had more time in SF than I originally thought. This came at the expense of my time in SEA, which made me a bit sad, as I was hoping for more time with Ron and Troy. They're good folk :-)

I wish to leave you with this. Enjoy.
