I'm ten minutes away from JFK, and I realise I failed to bring my camera. What on earth was I thinking?? I do happen to have my CF cards, so perhaps I can persuade Tom to led me the use of his, as we have the same Canon body (20D). I looked to see if I possibly had an extra lens, but no such luck. Because of the holiday, traffic is a non-issue, and I make it to the airport in just over 30 minutes. That *never* happens, unless you are travelling on a holiday at 6am. Lucky me.

I went to bed last night at around 0230. My alarm was set for 0515. Prior to that I was flailing about, trying to get things ready. I also still had my headcold, so my brain just wasn't firing on all cylinders. I never finished my work on friday, nor saturday, nor sunday. I suppose the stress caused the strangest dream I've had in a long while. It was a horrible, bloody, violent dream involving all sorts of dark forces. Friends were greusomly mauled and killed, and I was fighting to stay alive. I woke up twice, and found myself gasping for breath. Clearly, not much sleep was to be had.

I've *got* to get my work done today otherwise it'll be my head. By the end of today, I'll have completed about 30 annotated wireframes. For those that don't know, a wireframe is kinda like an architect's blueprint for a website. OK, enough about work. There are other, more interesting things about which to write.

I'm in SF for a week, although it's going to be a very short week. I have a concert to attend ([livejournal.com profile] notdefined is singing!), I want to get down to Santa Clara, even if it's only for a short time to see my friend Matts (not an LJer, as far as I know), and [livejournal.com profile] piratechan who used to live in my neck of the wood, but now lives in Berkeley. Oh, and there is also that little thing about a birthday party that's being cheffed by the dazzling [livejournal.com profile] kitchenbeard.

Well, I've arrived. Safe as houses. The flight was uneventful, although I've lost about 80% of my hearing. This coupled with my voice being shot, and being ill in general make for a rather sad image.
