Buddha Hand
It's a fruit. I almost picked one up today at Whole Foods. Oddly enough, the Iron Chef America episode airing at 1am featured citrus, and yes, Buddha Hand.
They're *so* much creepier looking in real life.
UPDATE: It seems I knew exactly what this was, before I ever saw one: The Japanese name is ユズ (that would be Yuzu)!
