After an entire day in bed, shaking uncontrollably, my fever finally broke last night. Today I still feel like crap, but significantly better than the last several, so I'll make it into the office. Curiously, there is also our office Christmas party this after-noon.

Coincidence?

Discuss!!

I'm glad to hear you're on the mend. No fainting!

I think I may have a handle on my stomach distress (which returned last night). Sadly, or make that fortunately, it is something I probably shouldn't be eating, that I thought I was getting away with. A few days of avoiding it should confirm.

Just remember Mr. Man, if you push it, you will relapse. NO GYM TONIGHT!!! Not even cardio. As far as the Christmas party goes, why should you be surprised, it is a time when you can let go of reality and get caught up in celebration! That is a good thing. :)

Please listen to him, he speaks from experience (to many experiences to count).

No worries about the gym... I don't plan on going at least until the week-end. I'm not nearly well enough to do anything but the lightest of loads.

...workloads that is!

You get sick a lot...

Does it seem to occur on days when you have events you are trying to avoid?

Interestingly, I was thinking that I hadn't gotten sick in awhile. Normally, I get ill every change of seasons. This time, if I count back about 5-7 days (the gestation period of your average cold/flu virus), I know exactly whom to blame ;-)

I thought for a second that you were going to describe a long, sweaty tantric orgasm. Well, it was long and sweaty anyway.

Glad you're getter better!

Not a coincidence. The reason we evolved a fever response is because high body temperature kills microbes. You ran yourself through an autoclave last night :)

No no, I was wondering if my body decided to get better because today we're going bowling ;-)

I am sure your sole purpose in attending the Christmas party is to spread the viral joy :)

Admit it!

I'm glad to hear that you're feeling better. Take care and big hugs!

Good your back on your feet! Stay away from the gym, and nix the diet your on for awhile. You don't want a relapse. I had the flu for a few days, an took a week off from the gym. It helped. Drink lots and lots of water, eat lots of veggies, fish, etc. And vitamin C helps too. And x-tra sleep helps too :-)

Let's see. Getting him to stay away from the gym for any length of time, fat chance. Veggies, fish etc., not a problem. Vitamin C, maybe. Extra sleep, give it up. While he can sleep late, he almost greets the morning from the previous night.

Ahhh! But sleep is most important. Shortens the recoup time. Don't know how anyone can live with little sleep. It's going to catch up with one some time or another.

I am very happy to hear you are getting better.

I really do have a much better image about shaking uncontrollably in bed than that.

Just sayin'...

Glad you're feeling better.

I had brief visions of bringing you daisies (they're the cheeriest of flowers, don't you think), chicken soup, and vicks vapor rub to run into that manly chest. (Congested or not,it always made me feel better).
