Christian easily has the most innate talent of the group. His outfit was "him" (small pleats, poofiness, and always with an edge), but I think it extended his range, far more than Rami, who can't give us anything but the same old thing. I think I am going to die of barfness.

Jillian's outfit astounded me until the model was standing next to her, and the jacket seemed to fall apart, as if the only thing giving it any structure was the buttons that kept it closed. A bit of a shame, but a great effort.

While I *love* the drama created by Chris' outfit, all those wrinkles reminded me of paper, and when the model walked down the runway, I didn't see any movement, and that bothered me.

Poor Sweet P, that outfit was all wrong from the get-go. I think in the last couple of shows, she just ran out of steam.

And what about that end?

Discuss!!

Argh. Argh. They had a chance to kick Rami to the curb and they blew it.

The worst of it?

It wasn't even a *good* version of his drape-o-rama.

If Chris had just left off that damn dumb ruffle from the earlier dress, he might have gotten in solo. But they must have thought it would be hard to penalize Rami for repeating himself a bazillion times when Chris repeated himself once.

I didn't really buy Christian's thing but I could see why it's interesting and well done. Jillian impressed me more than I thought she would. Sweet P ... well, she just doesn't get it. Like her, but .... meh.

The criticism of Chris was a bit unfair because Christian repeats himself a lot - his WWE/Diva and Denim works were clearly reflected in this challenge and Jillian's jacket - there were 2 before this one and this was a little knock off of Chris's WWE/Diva hoodie. These 3 were more focused on couture while Rami and Sweet P both created something simply commercial and charming. The overall range was such that they all deserved a turn on the runway. Overall I liked the way they setup FW.

Indeed. I thought it was unfair that the battle between Chris and Rami isn't over. In my mind, when you get the nod of a designer *far* better than The Orange One, you let them win. of course, FW already happened, so we kinda know the outcome (although obviously not the winner).

Let's see who repeated.

Rami...DUH!

Christian...puffy sleeved coat thing with thin
leggins again...

Jillian...Her THIRD coat with a stand up collar and a pinched waist. This one was short. The dress itself...Meh. I agreed, up close, it seemed to wilt.

Chris: The collar was similar. Otherwise new dress. I don't think it needed the collar.

Sweet P: I didn't think the dress was zippy enough, but was it similar to anything she's done before? I saw a bit of Chloe Dao's "recreated dress" (Season 2, 2nd challenge) but I don't think she repeated anything she's done before.

I thought that all 5 designers presented the look that I expected to see from each. The teaser before the commercial of Michael Kors criticizing an unknown designer for being unsurprising could have applied to any of them. I agreed with the overall conclusion but I wish they allowed all 4 to show at FW as opposed to the face-off.

From what I have seen, I like Chris Marsh's collection a little more than Christian's. The other two final collections were kind of meh to me.

I've just been disappointed from the leaked spoiler that CM is not part of the final 3.

If you'd like, I can give you spoilers.

Bryant Park already happened, so it's been all over the AP newswire several days ago. (if you want to see the results)

Of course, we've no idea who won, but we know who showed, and what all of their outfits looked like.

You know, I saw them standing there in the new Greco-Roman rooms (BIG donation there from Bill Blass - think they could have shown the memorial plaque?) and I thought oh shit, holy fucking Aphrodite - would someone please restrain that Gayrab? And sure enough, as soon as the challenge was explained, Bugger Boy al Drape-ari ran to the one statue. Mira, get over it!

Sweet P? Such a dear and such a confused thing. Let's be nice to her.

Chris - loooved his look far more than I did Rami's and I see no reason for him to have to have a bitch fight sissy boy slap fest before either can show at Bryant Park. Chris's work was far less repetitive, has more drama (gay! gay! gay!) and the man with the bad hair dye job LOVED it.

Christian is sweet, but haven't wee seen the puffy sleeve androgny with a contrasting shmata before thing? A lot?

Love Jillian's outfit. As to it falling apart, I think it's because the fabric was too soft. There might be some sort of additional lining that could be used to stiffen it slightly, say betweem the black layer and the glitter.

Thing is, I knew they were gonna rake both Chris and Rami for being repetitive.  Hell, I knew before the episode began that Nina knew Rami was going to be repetitive.  And, moreover, Nina knew that I knew that Nina knew.  She read my script verbatim.

I would have loved to have heard Michael Kors’s unedited commentary, because what they showed was suspiciously sparse.

I’m not necessarily bothered that anyone got eliminated from the competition at this point, since, frankly, the press of showing in the tent is far more valuable than actually winning the competition in my mind.  Hell, Malan got to show in the tents this year, and he didn’t get anywhere near winning his season, much less showing in the finale.

And now Malan has his own website/online show backed by Bravo.

Now that I think about it, I’m taking ten points off because no one did anything Egyptian.

Yeah, I was kinda cheesed about that as well. Then again, they were only in the Temple of Dendur (not Den-door', as they kept pronouncing it), which isn't really conducive to the inspiration of clothing design. If they were in the rest of the Egyptian wing, where you got to see actual paintings/carvings/etc, I'd be more upset about the group's lack of vision.

I kind of figured that Sweet-P would be eliminated. She's awesome but did not put it out there or the final challenge. I wish she had gone for an Avante Gard piece. It's unfair that she did not get something for the frustration of not having her model show until very late. I'm glad they told her she's talented. I hope she heard it.

I liked Jillian's design. It had a bit of flash that surprised the judges and was nicely done, especially given that her biggest enemy is time. I love that the guest judge said he'd hire her. Hope she got his email.

At first it looked like Christian had bitten off more than he could chew. But he pulled through with a nice outfit that was at least what they had been asked to do. You could see the resemblance to the inspirational work.

Chris' piece was good. but not much of a stretch for him. I wish he had done more than he had, I agree with Tim when he said that it was not finished. But it was good enough to impress the guest judge. It was funny to see the other judges reverently disagree with him.

Rami's dress was nice, but honestly, not his best. His colour choice was dead on, though at first I worried that it would not fit the piece. Of course everyone knows what Rami's problem is. He has a reputation for draping everything. In and of itself this is not a bad thing (I mean how many poofy shouldered jackets has Christian made without criticism) but if someone who hold your future in his hands tells you that they want to see something else from you... do something else!

I thought Rami's dress looked a little Jane Austen couture...It must have been the empire waist, color and drape combination.

I don't at all think that the ending happened because they were stuck. It was pre-scripted.
Other than season one, they've always had some sort of drama going into the last episode. (Season two was all about the 13th look at the last minute, season three was all about "we don't have a slot for three / you're all in." This is just another planned twist.

Not that I mind, but I feel the same as the consensus here. Rami will drape, and he has. Yawn.

I haven't seen this episode...not on Youtube yet, but I did see the final shows. Ironically, I thought that Chris' and Sweet P's were easily the best shows of the bunch, and I'm glad they got to show at Fashion week. I'm sick of Rami's draping, sick of Christian's poofysleeved sihouette, and Jillian's show was way too up and down.

Yes, how funny that we get frisky for fashion.

I hate that they're going to "knock someone to the kerb" figuratively, right before the Bryant park show. I know they're going to auf Chris... Face it...Big fat girly bear vs tall lean-muscled handsome Euro-hunk...

At least they all showed. I LOVED Chris' show most of all (as I've said before) and I guess I don't care anymore. I think they'll give it to Christian...He's the golden child. But his show? I think I'm gonna die of barfness....
