I was a little surprised at the outcome; Christian's collection was pretty fabulous but so black-heavy and jacket-heavy at the outset, whereas Jillian and Rami both surprised me with some of the interesting stuff they pulled off. It made me feel that they would have more justification NOT giving it to Christian than I'd have thought.
I was on the phone with annoyinghandle at the same time catching him up on what was happening .... did they *criticize* Rami's jewel tones? I liked those. And the basket-weavey stuff he did was pretty killer. I also just plain liked Jillian's collection.
But I"m not disappointed at all. Rami and Jillian will continue on to success, as I think with Chris March and several of the others.
The only other thing I'll say is: I would HATE to be 21, that talented, that full of overconfidence, AND win PR. But that's being 44 and knowing what happens if you get too much too young. Fingers crossed for Christian that winning will be a good thing for him.
