My boss' wife, Peggy is in a band called "MASOLIT", and they're playing in Brooklyn on the 22nd. They've got a track "NSA" available on the page. Their sound is dark/goth-esque, but with a pop sensibility. Lots of influences. I kinda dig it.

Check 'em out, lemme know what you think (even if you don't like it).

I like it. A bit of electronica, blues, and pop. Think there is a pinch of Goth (I like Goth). Thanks

Cheers!

Yeah, there is a Butch Vig influence there.

I wasn't so happy with the opening.. it sounded "thin", like a bad generic GarageBand loop, but then once that was over, I got into it.

It took me a few listenings to enjoy it as much as I now do.

My acquaintances in Thylacine do stuff like this too. It's good.

If that's not a GarageBand loop it's probably from some other loop program. Thing is, that's how the kids do it these days.

I don't don't mind the loop aspect. I'd just like to see it become more interesting that what "feels" like a flat loop. I suppose this goes under "Don't bore Nina". Bring me the loop, updated, and made fresh.

This stuff is pretty foreign to me (I looked at some of the stuff at tinydiva also). But, I liked some of the voice effects.
