So as many of you know, I got a fancy new lens, and I am totally digging it.

I'm working a lot in colour, something rather unusual for me, as it's often *so* difficult to get it "right".

I'm also testing Adobe's Lightroom. I've used Apple's Aperture, and I have to say, Lightroom *kills* Aperture, for what I want to do with it. That said, I am not convinced I really need Lightroom, either.

Here are 2 teaser full-frame, low-res output files from Lightroom. The first is our own [livejournal.com profile] rockey1. The other is the extinct prehistoric Airshark, which used to rule the skies during the Paleozoic era.

Very nice. What lens did you get?

EF 16-35L II lens. (Canon)

A quick googling came up with this review, although I haven't read it

I'm not seeing "shark" but "placoderm"

Say is that a flying Dunkleosteus?

I like the colour. Keep working with it.

I have a few of the "airshark", but right now all developing has been halted until I can get my disk back in working order (luckily, these shots weren't affected by the crash, but my Lightroom app *was*.
