You can barely see it, but my commuter ticket is $237, and my MTA card is $89, and my parking fare is $100, all per-month.

wow! at least my pass is Muni/Caltrain combined. how long of a trip is the commute for you? Mine is a ten minute walk to the station - then a 40 minute or so ride - then a 10 minute walk to the office or if timing is supreme; a quick bus ride.

Once I am physically on the Metro North train, it's about an hour until I am in the office. It's really not so bad!
