Lamb loin kebab with a simple dry rub of paprika, smoked paprika, cumin, salt, pepper.
The kebab skewer was a rosemary spear. I also had a red bell pepper I needed to use.
Side of tzatziki sauce: greek yoghurt, dill, lemon juice cucumber, salt, pepper
Summer lentil salad (cold): green french lentils, cherry tomatoes, crumbled feta, onion (should be red… had vidalia on hand), with a bit of lemon juice , champagne vinegar, olive oil.
I should have made it all today, then had it tomorrow. I still have another loin in the fridge, with the rub. It's gonna be *fantastic*.

Date: 2009-08-10 04:49 am (UTC)That said, I did it because I was sick of having chicken, and last night, Bill and I went out for some fish at http://www.mediterraneoofgreenwich.com/ which always has lovely food. He had the warm goat cheese appetiser, and I had the gazpacho. For our main courses, I had the rare yellow-fin tuna, and he had the striped bass.
For dessert, we merely walked to Starbucks (the Starbucks where we first met), and I had an iced venti unsweetened green tea, and he had a tall drip coffee. Then we walked back to the car, and drove home.
