The website I did for Reuters is finally live: Reuters corporate identity guidelines

This means I can also unveil my (lightweight) case study: Blocklevel: Reuters Corporate Identity Website

I'm totally going out for sushi this evening.

Very nice work, C!

I hesitate to mention this...

1. It looks great.
2. The drop down boxes (choose an application etc.) cuts off the words as if the box is too small. I tried reducing my text size and the box just got smaller.

That's it.

I'm using Firefox under OSX 10.4

Yeah, that's in the punch list. I'm just the IA, not the designer, although I caught that as well, and let them know.

Also, the code somehow got all fucked up from my valid XHTML Strict doctype. I've alerted them to the "easy fixes" as well.

Congrats -- the site is nice and clean and easy on the eyes.

The only anomaly/inconsistency I saw on the front page (I've done extensive editing and proofreading) is that the period is not underlined on 9 of the 10 links, but is underlined on one.

I miss their old "tickertape" logo (was it Rand or Pentagram that did that?), but understand why they had to update it.

Good eyes =)

I will add that to the punch list.

Well done. I'm always amazed by the effort required in support of a brand. Enjoy sushi!

The original site was done entirely in Flash, making it totally worthless as a learning tool. You couldn't bookmark anything, find anything, nor did it have any accessibility functions built into the site.

For my write-up, I considered making more of a point-counterpoint argument, but I decided not to dwell on the past, making the overall tone more positive and progressive.

Looks great. And better still: now I even know how to read the source code!

Don't look at it too closely. It's no longer valid, and so I gave them an "earful" in an email. There are some *really* screwed up tags in their templating software (that they made *just* for this website, so they should fix it).
