Yes. Sorry. I should have reinforced the notion of getting ahead of the pain before you went in. I learned about that in my third or fourth day after getting my tonsils out about 15 years ago. It took a good 24 hours before I had "caught up."

BTW, you should mention your MRI experience to the orthop(a)edist. They should know that the techs are d-bags.
