The Rain Falls Hard on a Humdrum Town

Last night I had quite a bit of work to do. I started it around 10:30pm, only to discover I failed to re-copy the latest version of the documents to my laptop. I hoped they were on the server at work. Of course, the server is totally inaccessible from my house, as we don't have a replacement VPN (long story). This meant I had to come into the office early to do all the stuff I couldn't do in the evening. Grrr!!!
Well, remember yesterday when I didn't have enough quarters? Well, my parking space became a $31.25 parking space. I knew it was going to happen, and there was nothing I can do. I just hope I remember to pay it. This morning, I made sure to grab enough quarters.
As usual on foul days, the train was late by 10 minutes, but I managed to take a full-express. Quite a fast train, so I didn't mind the lack of seats. I was in GCT in just under 40 minutes. Due to the rain, I decided not to take the 6 train I usually take, and instead took the Shuttle to Times Square, then the 1 to 28th street. I now know why the 1 train is called the 1… there is only one of them. I waited for 20 minutes for one to arrive. Meanwhile, no less than six express trains arrived and departed. Had I been a bright lad, I would have taken the N/R, as I believe it's closer to the office (B'way and 28th, IIRC), but I didn't want to chance it.
So wish me luck. I have meetings all day, and only precious few minutes to finish these wireframes.
Cheers!

Date: 2006-05-16 07:18 pm (UTC)It's a world of hope and and world of fear
There's so much that we share
That it's time we all care
It's a small world after all

This town will drag you down.

But that's ok, as we actually nailed down what they *really* want from their B2B area, and it has made the whole site much more consistent.
