Richard is my friend from PDX. He decided to drop over to NYC for a night, before heading off to his final destination of BOS. It was a horrible grey day, but we had a very good time. We went up to the Cloisters, then did a small tour of some semi-touresty areas. The other fellow is another Flickr buddy Dennis. Enjoy!

Interesting pictures ... the first one (Rockefeller Center ?) is particularly evocative of the City's famed skyscrapers. Perhaps a bit kneejerk/artsy of me, but I immediately thought of Hugh Ferris' architectural renderings.

Oh, indeed, I would say many buildings crib from Hugh Ferriss's work. Rockefeller Center and the Empire State Building being two most obvious examples.
