To be honest, I have never considered myself anything worth looking at. (Yes, we have gone over this before), but if I disregard the actual person in the photo, it really is good. Even my mother, who saw it by accident, thought it was a good photograph. (To be honest, I think she was embarrassed to say so because, well, we don't do such things in our family.) :)

Think of the setting. I had just arrived in NYC, the first time in over 30 years. I had been awake for over 24 hours, it was around 10a.m. when I got to the hotel, checked in and went up to my room, the first thing I did was grab a shower, put on my pj bottoms and crash! Some time later I awoke to see Mr. Harrington standing along side the bed looking at me (I had left word to let him in the room when he arrived). Now wouldn't you have smiled too? Christopher also instilled in me a desire to actually meet as many of the people I converse with here on LJ. Any wonder why I don't leave LJ regardless of the bumpy road? Thank you so much Christopher, not only for getting me to remain on LJ, but for being the best mate anyone could ask for.

Oh my, that's jaw-dropping handsome !... the portrait, the subject, and the photographer. The black & white is worthy of the golden age of Hollywood glamour shots.

That's also the most dimensional tattoo of its type that I've ever seen.

When I got the tattoo, I had the barbed wire put on first and when I wasn't quite satisfied with it, went back and had him add the band of thorns. It was done in Richmond, VA on the south side.

I used to design a lot in Richmond (Virginia Museum Theatre, then Theatre Virginia! later). The main area I got to know was The Fan and Carey Street ...but also Shokoe Slip and Hotel Jefferson.
Sometimes dissatisfaction can result in striking art ! ;0)

Mr. Harrington is an absolute artist extraordinaire with a camera. We do seem to have several of them lurking about LJ. I can still see the photo he took of you, a side shot where you look like you possess the wisdom of the ages. :)
