Well, That's a Thing…

So today turned out to be a full day. Got the contract signed by my once-and-future employer, and proceeded to be in one of the most tedious 6.5 hour meetings I've ever been in. Then I took the train home, and started feeling a little… off.
By the time I got home I was feeling pretty uncomfortable. I knew I hadn't had any food since about 11:30, and that was a small sausage and egg sandwich from Starbucks (I know I'd be stuck for 3 hours… I didn't realise it would turn into 6.5 hours). As the evening progressed, I became more and more ill, soon shaking uncontrollably from being cold, and completely unable to stand erect without horrible gastro-intestinal pain. The rest of my evening, up until about 1AM, was spent shaking from the cold under a giant pile of about 7 thick blankets, and in the toilet, wanting to die. It was NOT pretty, but I managed not to vomit. My body hates doing that, and would rather suffer like it did. Sometimes my body hates me.
Then, suddenly, the shaking stopped. I'm still achy, but I can move without thinking something wants out from either end of me. Of course, it's now 3:30am. Ugh.
Sorry if this was TMI. I tried not to be too graphic.
For those that skipped over the unpleasantness, here's a summary:
Full day of work at my normal day rate == W00t!
Food poisoning == Boo!

Date: 2011-12-21 09:33 pm (UTC)Almost the only time I ever drink soft drinks is in this circumstance because the sugar helps get me back to feeling a little normal. FWIW.
