Arca-Swiss P0. Perfect for the 5D mkII with battery grip and various video add-ons. The locking collar makes repositioning pretty quick, although not as quick as a pistol grip.

It also has a dedicated panning lock, so you can lock down the head, and release just the panning axis.

It does use a new quick release mount, which I'm not super thrilled about, but the mount itself is solid.

It's physically larger than the iPhone, but it's got built-in Skype calling, as well as a bajillion other apps. It also has a real keyboard.

However, now that Apple has officially announced an SDK for the iPhone and iPod Touch, *and* is selling unlocked iPhones in France, I wonder if the iP/iPT is now a player in my world.

So fj, do you know anything interesting about the new NokiaN810? Is it secretly shite? The UI looks pretty usable, but I'd like to use it myself before making final judgements.

It's got a real 1080HD CMOS sensor, capable of 1080p @24fps (film), and HDMI out.

Not bad for $1000USD!

The XL1 and GL1 were fantastic machines for SD video. I am sure Canon has put the same quality into these guys.
