LJ Gathering: At the Zoo!

It's been a looooong time, friends! Let's all go to the Bronx Zoo on the 21st July. notdefined and mrbowles will be in town from far off San Francisco, so let's give 'em a good time, eh?

There will be other things planned like dinner, and such, but I figured I'd stick this out here first. The actual time is still TBD, but I'm thinking the late morning, then we can have a late lunch somewhere in the Bronx if we didn't want to eat in the zoo (The Zoo has many animals, but I don't think they like it if you grill them.)

Indeed! Ironically, it's the week-end The Bronx Zoo will be celebrating the return of the California Sea Lions.

So Tom and Jeff will come all the way here to see what they get to see every day!

From the schedule, it appears that the only time the trolley stops in midtown is on it's first and last runs of the day, so if this is the preferred means of transport, we'd have to get to midtown by 9:30 AM, getting to the zoo an hour after....

well, I don't see how it's the preferred mode of transport, considering there are subways and busses that will also take you there.
