Happy Mondays
Aug. 14th, 2006 10:33 amI've been leaving the windows open at night, as it's been very cool (actually downright cold). The downside to this is that I wake up congested and sounding like Tom Waits. This morning is no exception.
Had a good time seeing the (non) Stinky Plant with
badfaggot,
thornyc,
naylandblake, and two of Matt's Non-LJ friends. It was my first time to the Brooklyn Botanical Garden, and I must say, aside from the ambling crowds, it's a beautiful place. The win however, still goes to The Bronx. Speaking of the Bronx, we should hit the Zoo sometime.
After the garden, we had some really fantastic food at The Islands, where the jerk chicken fell right off the bone, and the ginger-beer was nice and strong. After food, it was getting late, so we all split up. I wound up going back to Matt's flat, and we wound up chatting about the Subway system amongst other things, until I needed to go home.
So we decided to walk across the Brooklyn Bridge. I had never done this before, and it's quite beautiful at night.
Pics to come of the days events. Thanks to all who came.
