Many years ago, I had just crossed the Fiedler Footbridge when a truck struck it (trucks are not permitted on Storrow Drive, the roadway below the bridge.) The bridge made some truly nauseating noises and ruined the top of the truck. That must have been one expensive lesson for the driver!
