Yes. Sorry. I should have reinforced the notion of getting ahead of the pain before you went in. I learned about that in my third or fourth day after getting my tonsils out about 15 years ago. It took a good 24 hours before I had "caught up."

We're both thinking good healing thoughts and beaming them your way.

BTW, you should mention your MRI experience to the orthop(a)edist. They should know that the techs are d-bags.

Had to chase the pain rather that stay on top of it? I'm holding my tongue. Well, almost. While you are a super man, you are not Superman. You must learn to yield to your body just slightly more than you do. And what did I say about pain management? Okay, I'm over it now. Please, please be careful and don't over exert yourself until you are completely recovered.

Seriously, do you do voiceovers professionally? Between the accent, inflection and 'feel', I could see you as narration talent (in my old career, I made corporate training videos...)

I've done a few. I'm much better with a script, or in conversation than solo, off-the-cuff as this was. There was some minor editing where I got really nasty at the MRI techs… I thought it'd nuke that, as it wasn't proper to keep in.

I do want to do more TWiT-style podcasts, but it's been like pulling teeth to get people to do them with me.

The accent is a slurry of HK/UK English, LDN (South Kensington/Hampstead), and C'bridge/Boston/CT English.

nope, out like a light. The Time Out thing was a little strange… I have semi-full recall of getting injected, then being out-cold. I then recalled a bunch of folk surrounding me when I was back in the post-op area.

Glad you're on the mend. Having had my left shoulder in a sling and my ass in a sling, I much prefer the latter.
Of course being much older than you, my shoulder had problems in healing which I hope you don't have, including adhesions that limit range of motion and continuing pain but not too severe. Good luck with all that.
