The Vanity of an Ancient King

While it's not the most flattering pic in the universe, I wanted to note, I am down to about 198lbs, and I am noticing less subcutaneous fat around my middle. Progress. Slow progress.

As far as lifting weight, I'm prettymuch back to numbers I find respectable for me (over 1000lbs on leg press, over 250 on the incline bench, 235 on the triceps pushdowns, etc). It's been awhile since I've been at that level, and it feels good to be back. In August I'll change cycles, and start eating more, with a goal of breaking some personal bests. I still want some more weeks of getting rid of the middle. At the moment, I am around 15%, although I'd love to see 12-13%, even if it's temporary. The three slices of pizza I had today didn't help.

Can I go home yet?

A few notes regarding this pic… I'm using a Logitech® QuickCam® Vision Pro for Mac® (yes, they really do use all those ® in their marketing copy). While it seems to gather light pretty well, the auto focus is awful. There is simply nothing in focus in this shot. In contrast, my *ancient* and semi-broken firewire iSight (from Apple) produces a very sharp, and rather colour-accurate shot. It however sucks in low light, producing an insanely noisy image. Bläarg.

Yes, you can see my clothes laid out behind me, although I wound up going with another shirt (white dressed-down, buttoned-down oxford).

What a week! I'm totally exhausted, but today should be pretty mellow. Bill's out of town this week-end, so I get the house to myself.
